Hailing from the DC Metropolitan area, Mariah Meshae Kamau is an LA based artist and entrepreneur. She is a multi-threat singer, songwriter, producer/composer, celebrity vocal coach, VO artist and philanthropist. Mariah’s musical journey began at the age of 3 when she started piano lessons and singing in her church choir. At 16, she went on to study Music Composition and classical piano at Howard University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

In 2020, Mariah established her brand Everything Lovely, which specializes in artist development and coaching. Mariah’s work as a celebrity vocal coach includes clientele such as pop star recording artist, Normani, and teen-sensation, Shahadi Wright-Joseph and Joyce Wrice. Mariah promotes a holistic approach to vocal studies and artist development that caters to the artist’s full being; mind, body, and spirit.
As a singer, she has graced the stage as a member of the Kanye West Sunday Service collective; performing the lead role of Mary in his 2019 opera and has also performed with Beyoncé, Iggy Azalea, Mya, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and many more.
Mariah’s background in gospel, classical, jazz, and r&b has given her the ability to masterfully bounce between many styles with authenticity and ingenuity.
In 2021, Mariah joined forces with her husband and business partner, Nkenge Kamau (Nkenge 1x) to form Everything 1x (pronounced “one time”); a Media Production Company that empowers artists to create for good while maintaining transparency and ownership in their creative assets. Collectively, Everything 1x has secured songwriting & production credits on major networks to include CBS, Lifetime, BET, ABC, Paramount & Disney.
Mariah has a heart for people and is committed to uplifting her community; giving back and paying forward. In 2019, she launched her scholarship fund for Black Women Composers and Producers, and was able to offer an award to her first scholarship recipient in 2020. In 2021, she was instrumental in establishing the Elevated Arts & Culture Collective through the Nubian Leadership Circle and continues to offer her support. Mariah’s latest releases, “Black Man” and “I Am” (both collaborations with Hijabi fashion sensation, Neelam) have been taking the internet by storm. With her current rise into the world of solo recording artistry, Mariah Meshae is poised to solidify her spot as the next artist to watch.
