  • Am I required to book an Intake Session?
    Intake Sessions are only required for clients that are interested in the following coaching session types: Vocal Foundations Session, Heart-ist Development Session, Music Creation Session, and Music Business Development Session. Before booking one of the aforementioned sessions, the client must book and complete an Intake Session. As a part of the Intake Session, the client must let the coach know which session type they are interested in booking so that they can be properly assigned. Once assigned, the client is able to purchase unlimited bookings in their assigned session type. If a client would like to book a different session type than what they have been assigned, they may be required to complete an intake session for that session type. (i.e. A client has completed an Intake Session and has been assigned to Music Business Sessions based on their expressed interest but would like to book a Vocal Foundations Session. This client would be required to book and complete an Intake Session for Vocal Foundations before being permitted to book a Vocal Foundations Session.) The following coaching session types can be booked WITHOUT completing an Intake Session prior to booking: Musicianship Foundations Session, E1x Music Feedback Session, and Special Case Session. Please be advised that all Special Case Sessions are subject to availability and the discretion of the Everything 1x coaches. If a client books a session type that has an Intake Session as a prerequisite but that client has not completed an Intake Session, that booking will be canceled and the client will be instructed to book an Intake Session.
  • What should I expect in my Intake Session? Is there anything that I should prepare?
    The intake session is a “get-to-know-you” session that is used to gather information about your needs and goals and assess how your coach can help you achieve them. Your intake session will include the following: Discussion - tell us about you, your background, experience and your goals. Demonstration - let us hear you. Vocalists: Please come vocally warmed up and ready to go by vocalizing for about 10 - 15 minutes before your session begins. Please prepare one song of your choice to perform. Be sure that it truly showcases your voice. We need to hear you! Producers/Composers/Songwriters: Please select 2 songs of varying styles to play. Songs can be submitted prior to the session. Artist Development/ Music Business Please come prepared to discuss and present the business materials that you already have (i.e. business plan, pitch deck, mood boards, branding proposals, resume etc.) Assessment & Next Steps - we’ll do some light coaching and give our feedback and recommendations on how to move forward.
  • Are all sessions conducted online?
    All sessions that are available for purchase online will take place online. We conduct all online sessions via Google Meet.The appropriate link will be emailed to the client prior to the beginning of the session. If you are interested in booking an in person session, please contact us.
  • What are the technical requirements for an online session via Google Meet?
    Technical Requirements/Setup A computer or mobile device with an Internet connection. Please ensure a stable internet connection. Please go to www.speedtest.net to check your Wi-Fi speed. The minimum recommended speed is 60 Mbps (ideally, over 100 Mbps). If you are using a mobile device, a tripod is required. If your computer/laptop does not have a built-in webcam and external webcam is required. Please make sure your device battery stays charged or remains plugged in. If you have a mobile device, please download the Google Meet app to your device. If you are using a computer, Google Meet can be accessed via their website or by download the web app at https://meet.google.com Please ensure a quiet and stationary environment. Sessions will not be conducted while the client is in transit (walking, driving) or while completing other tasks (cooking, cleaning, etc.) Headphones Please make sure your light source is in front of you and not behind you.
  • What happens if I'm late to my session?
    The client is offered a 10 minute grace period after which the lesson will be treated as a no-show. If the client arrives within the grace period, no concessions will be made to extend the session. If the client gives the coach advance notice that they will be arriving after the 10 minute grace period, concession may be given at the discretion of the coach.

Recording/Note Taking Recording and taking notes during your sessions is highly recommended. All recordings and notes are for your personal use only and cannot be shared or distributed without the permission of Everything 1x. The client must be on a desktop/laptop computer to be able to record sessions through Google Meet. Materials The client is responsible for purchasing and obtaining any sheet music, lyric sheets, instrumental accompaniment/backing tracks, live accompaniment, software, hardware and any other materials or equipment deemed necessary for their coaching session. Booking and Payment All sessions are to be booked online via our online portal unless otherwise agreed upon. The session is not considered fully booked until the client has received a confirmation email and meeting link. Fees are due upon booking unless agreed otherwise. All fees are non-refundable. Attendance Punctuality All sessions will begin and end on time. If the client is tardy, no concessions will be made to extend the session. The coach will be punctual or the coach will notify the client of their tardiness and will extend the session time to satisfy the agreed duration of the session. The coach will reschedule the session if time will not allow the extension. 10 Minute Grace Period The client is offered a 10 minute grace period after which the lesson will be treated as a no-show. If the client arrives within the grace period, no concessions will be made to extend the session. If an individual notifies the coach of their tardiness beyond the grace period, concession may be given at the discretion of the coach. Health & Wellness - **VOCAL FOUNDATIONS ONLY** As a vocalist, the body is the instrument. If a vocal client attempts to attend their session and they are unwell (including but not limited to the common cold, flu, viruses, fatigue, sore throat, and stomach aches) the coach reserves the right to cease the session at any time and the Learning Center will reschedule the session at a later time.
  • Vocal Foundations Session Guidelines
    Please have your camera placed parallel to your body and make sure your entire face is always in frame. Your device should not be lying flat on a desk or held in your hands. A tripod is required for mobile devices. Please have an additional device(s) to use for personal recording and/or playing instrumentals/backing tracks. Please have a sturdy chair. (no beds, couches, squishy pillows etc.) Please have all lyrics/sheet music, water/tea, pencil/pen etc., corks/straws and any other materials on hand prior to the beginning of your session. A microphone is not required for your sessions but it is a plus
